Scholarship Eligibility & Criteria
Scholarship funds are available for students primarily in grades 6-8, attending Lakeview Schools. It is for the student who financially could not otherwise participate in a structured summer sports program, or for the student who needs special financial assistance in other ways relating to sports, during the school year. It is hoped the student will benefit in morale, citizenship and self esteem.
Students are nominated by Lakeview staff. A short statement by the student indicating why he/she would like to attend a sport camp, or the need for assistance in order to participate in a sports activity at Lakeview is requested.
Applicants are also required to submit a photo of themselves, which may be used in LSEF publications in the event that they receive a scholarship.
Award
One or more awards may be given annually. The Selection Committee shall determine the amount and number according to the net earnings generated by the principal. The student must have reasonable need for financial assistance.

Deadline
The deadline for application is May 30. Deadline for camp registration should be noted. Additional requests for financial assistance may be on an as needed basis.
