Marie Williams has a master’s degree in social work (MSW) and a school certification from WMU. Marie has undergraduate degrees in information systems, communication and marketing. She has been a school social worker for over 10 years and has been working in the social work field for over 25 years. Marie enjoys supporting students with special education needs and expanding their social emotional learning. Marie has worked in several school districts such as Kalamazoo, Battle Creek and Starr Commonwealth to support student’s social emotional needs. Marie has experience in schools/education, hospitals, wraparound, Head start, mental health and residential. Marie was a foster parent for over seven years. She is also a parent advocate and continues to love supporting parents and students.
Marie has seven children. Three who have graduated from Lakeview High school and four younger children are currently in school.
Marie is ecstatic about having the opportunity to continue supporting students in other ways like the Lakeview Schools Education Foundation.
