The Lakeview Schools Educational Foundation was created to help provide Lakeview staff and students with learning opportunities and resources not covered through state financial support. All funds raised by the LSEF contribute to a more enriching educational experience for the youth of today, the leaders of tomorrow.

Your Gift at Work
Lakeview Schools Educational Foundation awarded over $41,000 in scholarships and grants in the 2017-18 school year which will work to facilitate student development, provide resources for educational activities for all students, provide scholarships for students to pursue educational opportunities, encourage excellence through creative and innovative teaching, support the professional growth of staff, and provide innovative programs for adult learners.
Ways to Give
Every gift, regardless of its size, helps provide Lakeview School District students and staff with a better learning environment. Groups, organizations, families and individuals have many options when considering a donation to LSEF.
Special Projects
Gifts can help support short term projects, typically one to two years in duration. Several area organizations have developed and funded special projects, which enhance Lakeview schools and activities.
Leaving a Legacy
Many families designate the Foundation for memorial contributions, while others have developed a specific scholarship fund celebrating the life and achievements of a friend or loved one. Gifts such as these are placed in a permanent or endowment fund managed by the Battle Creek Community Foundation. Only the earned income is used from these donations to help support the goals of the Lakeview Schools Educational Foundation.
Designated Gifts
Groups and individuals may also choose to make a contribution toward an established scholarship or grant fund. Gifts designated to a specific fund are permanently endowed to support long term priorities.
Making a Contribution
Gifts are accepted in many forms, including, cash, stocks, real estate and insurance policies. Contributions are eligible for the maximum tax deductions allowed under state and federal law. In addition, donors can qualify for a special Michigan tax credit by simply making your check payable to the Battle Creek Community Foundation and designating which LSEF fund you wish to support.
