Rose Ferguson Grant Application

The Lakeview Schools Educational Foundation (LSEF) is now accepting applications for the Rose Ferguson Grant. This annual grant is available to support professional development of educators. An individual teacher or group of teachers may apply for this grant, or Building Principals or Assistant Superintendent for Instruction, with teacher input may also apply.

Funds Available

Typical Rose Ferguson Grant award is $350. Grant recipient is announced by December 1 with monies available January 1 through December 31.

Selection Criteria

A professional growth activity that correlates with the building school improvement goals. The activity to be shared with fellow educators colleagues. A professional growth activity that provides the teacher(s) with instructional strategies that supports the district curriculum. A professional growth activity that supports the District Mission statement. A commitment from the teachers(s) that this training opportunity will be used to impact student learning.

Review Procedures For All Grants

Grant applications are reviewed by the Grant Committee of LSEF with recommendations for final approval by the LSEF Board. The grants are then administered by the Battle Creek Community Foundation.
