Al Leibert Scholarship

Description
After teaching in the Battle Creek School District, including serving as a Grade Principal at Battle Creek Central High School, Al Leibert became an Assistant Principal at Lakeview High School in 1971. He then served as Principal of Westlake Elementary from 1980 to 1986. After retirement he helped coach girls track and freshmen football for ten years. Scholarship applicants must be graduating seniors of Lakeview High School who will be attending an accredited four-year college or university or a two-year community college, who demonstrates good character and citizenship; GPA of at least 3.0; evidence of participation in extracurricular activities.

Scholarship Eligibility and Criteria
Award is given to a Lakeview senior who plans to attend an accredited four-year college or university or a two-year community college. Applicant must demonstrate good character and citizenship, have a GPA of 3.00, and show evidence of participation in extracurricular activities.

Award
One scholarship will be awarded annually from qualified candidates. The amount will be determined by the LSEF on an annual basis. It is not renewable.
