The Thomas Jefferson grant was recently awarded to several Lakeview teachers to attend the follow-up seminar of the Statewide Coaching Collaborative Early Literacy training. Those attending will share information with the district instructional team to implement best practices and improve MStep and reading in all content areas.
One of the recipients, Shannon Shepherd, shared the following:
“I have been blessed with receiving the LSEF grants several times over the years. Some of the grants I have received have been used for independent books for teacher’s classrooms, professional development conferences for teachers, and reading resources for staff to learn through a book study and training. I am very thankful for the LSEF foundation and all they do to support teachers, to make teaching and learning better for our students. The application is easy to use and a small commitment on the teacher’s part to receive funds to do some great things. Thank you LSEF!”
