A successful Sweetheart Dance fundraiser was held this past February to support the Lakeview High School Senior Class of 2020. This money was raised by a volunteer senior parent committee. Unfortunately, due to Covid-19, the Senior Celebration was unable to take place. It was important to the parent committee that the funds be used for a valuable purpose.
In honor of the Lakeview Class of 2020 a scholarship fund of $6,000 has been established through the Lakeview Schools Educational Foundation partnering with the Battle Creek Community Foundation. A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a Lakeview senior each year who is able to express through application how they have persevered in their life, despite disappointment or unforeseen circumstances.
