
Blake started his teaching career as a band/choir teacher in Ohio and Michigan. After receiving his masters in counseling he became a high school counselor at West Bloomfield High. He then moved to assistant principal and then principal in West Bloomfield. Following finishing his Education Specialist in Education Leadership he moved to Armada Area Schools to be their curriculum director. As a result of being a student of the Michigan Leadership Institute Superintendent Academy, he became Superintendent of Ferndale Schools. Lakeview’s work around equity and its history of educational excellence drew Blake to Lakeview Schools. Over the last three years, as Lakeview Superintendent, Blake has been excited about the direction of the district and how Lakeview serves its students. He has been on the LSEF Board for 3 years.
