Chris moved to Battle Creek, Michigan at the age of five and attended Lakeview Schools for the entirety of his primary and secondary education. He graduated in 2005 and continued his education at the University of Michigan where he obtained two undergraduate degrees and his JD from the University of Michigan Law School. Currently, Chris practices law as a member of the local bar association.
As a teenager, Chris served as a member of the Youth Alliance Committee through the Battle Creek Community Foundation. While completing his undergraduate studies, he also created and ran the Youth Athletics and Activities Program focused on gang prevention, as well as providing mentorship to at-risk youth in the Battle Creek area. He currently serves as a member of the Battle Creek Community Foundation’s Board of Trustees, as well as on various subcommittees. He began serving on the Lakeview Schools Educational Foundation Board August 2020.
