Lara attended Western Michigan University, majoring in Psychology. She has been serving on the LSEF Board representative for three years and has been active in Girl Scouts, being a troop leader for over 10 years.
Lara and her husband have three children and one grandchild. All three children attended Lakeview School District. Her son graduated in 2020, and her daughter is currently attending the Lakeview 7/8 Academy. She actively volunteers for Lakeview Tennis Booster (Boys and Girls), middle school sport events, and LMS Masque as needed.
Her interests include skiing, boating and supporting her children in the sporting activities.
