- Lived in Battle Creek for 50 years
- Married to Steve Metzger, and have three children-two of whom graduated from Lakeview, and one who is a sophomore at LHS
- Graduated from Albion College in 1993, majoring in Chemistry
- Worked as a chemist for many years, and currently work in Environmental Health and Safety at Charles River Labs
- Worked at CCHS (Calhoun Community High School) as a secretary for three years and have a passion for at-risk and marginalized students
- Currently serving as a Trustee on the Lakeview School District Board
- Hobbies include spending time with family, beekeeping, motorcycling, and any other excuse to be outdoors!
